Editorial Ethics
The Editorial Board of the journal “Scientific Works: Institute of Economic Forecasting of the Russian Academy of Sciences” in its work is guided by norms of editorial and publishing ethics, ethics of scientific peer review and authorship of scientific publications, generally accepted by the international scientific community as well as the requirements of Russian legislation and relies on the following fundamental documents:
– Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors – Committee on Publication Ethics;
– Rules of Chapter 70 “Copyright” of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation.
The Editor in his work is guided by the principles of scientific character, objectivity, professionalism, and impartiality.
The Editor proceeds from the reliability of the presented data and the scientific significance of the work under consideration, evaluates the manuscript and works with it in order to determine its place in the modern scientific context, the possible topic update, as well as based on the editorial policy of the journal.
The Editor ensures that he assesses the intellectual, scientific content of the manuscript. Any personal, subjective assessments are categorically unacceptable in the work of the Editor.
The Editor is obliged to agree with the Author on the final version of the text before its publication (after making all editor’s alterations and changes).
The Editor does not allow the publication of manuscripts containing the signs of plagiarism, conflict of interest, and fictitious authorship, etc. (see the Section “Basic Ethical Principles for Scientific Article Authors”).
The Editorial Board adheres to the principle of confidentiality of the review process, i.e. it ensures that no manuscript materials will be transferred to the third parties before its publication; also, materials not included in the article final version will not be transferred to the third parties without the Author’s consent. The Editorial Board also ensures that the name and affiliation of the Reviewer are known exclusively to the Editor and are not disclosed to the article’s Author (s) and to the third parties.
