Рассматривается ряд малоизвестных в советской статистической литературе и практике работ: масштабная перепись металлообрабатывающего оборудования, выполненная под руководством Я.Б. Кваши в 1932-1934 гг., которую отличали глубина и оригинальность проработки всех используемых характеристик оборудования и соответствия их реальным технико-экономическим условиям эксплуатации оборудования; оценка динамики основных фондов и капитальных вложений в годы Великой Отечественной войны с учетом поставок по лэнд-лизу и репарационных поступлений; инвентаризация основных фондов, в которой впервые в советской статистике во второй половине 1980-х годов была сделана попытка сравнительного анализа технико-экономических параметров существующих парков машин. Приводятся как положительные, так и спорные аспекты проведенных работ.

Fixed Capital statistics in 1927-1987
The paper deals with a number of major studies, which are little known in the Soviet statistical literature, as well as in statistical practice. The large-scale census of metalworking equipment accomplished in 1932-1934 under the guidance of Yakov B. Kvasha takes the first place in the given issue. This census was distinguished by deep and original elaboration of all commonly used characteristics of equipment. The appraisal of adequacy of the equipment characteristics to the real technological and economic conditions of it exploitation is of the special attention.
The estimation of capital stock and fixed capital investment dynamics during the Great Patriotic War with inclusion of lend-lease supplies and reparation deliveries is represented in the given paper. The above mentioned problem has never been covered in the literature before.
In addition, the paper examines the inventory of capital stock that was undertaken in the second half of the 1980s and, for the first time in the Soviet statistics, included an attempt to make a comparative analysis of technological and economic parameters of the stocks of machine tools that existed at that time. The paper deals with both positive and doubtful aspects of this works.
